Ladies Belts & Buckles
If we’re all perfectly honest, ladies belts these days are less about keeping your trousers, skirts or shorts from falling down, and more about the utilising of an important fashion accessory. Ladies leg attire is often bought to fit well in this modern age and so the usefulness of belts has been reduced. However, belts can often be essential to an outfit as they break up the top and bottom parts of the body, thus elongating it and adding curves.
Belts also enable the subtle additional of colour to an outfit that would otherwise be quite bland. For example, it’s common for plain black or white ladies dresses to be teamed with a brightly coloured belt, which in turn matches the colour of the shoes. This is an easy way to make your appearance look more styled without having to overdo it with colours and patterns.
A number of surf brands have now produced reversible belts which are a God-send to the fashion-conscious. Often these belts have a detailed and colourful pattern on one side (which works great against plain monotone clothing) and a simple solid colour on the other side (to stabilise busy and complex patterned clothes). Who would go back to a normal belt after having that level of flexibility?
