Ladies Scarves
Roughly speaking ladies scarves can be placed into two camps. The first camp is made up of the more traditional scarf, made from thick wool, cotton or modern synthetic and designed to keep your neck as warm as possible whilst the elements try their hardest to steal your heat. The second camp encompasses more of the modern types of scarf, worn year-round and focused more on providing fashion kudos rather than providing any practical benefit. It’s not fair to say all ladies scarves in this second camp are useless as some are practical in very hot or desert conditions where keeping the sun and sand out of your face and eyes is very important.
However, give that the desert conditions in England are limited to nowhere, more people buy these types of scarf because that’s what the celebrities are wearing. There is nothing wrong with that of course, it’s just important not to get the two types of scarf mixed up. You don’t want to be out in a blizzard with only a thin bit of silk to cover your exposed skin. Likewise you won’t appreciate having the wool from a whole lamb wrapped around your face during your holiday to Egypt.
