Ladies Thermals
The cost of ladies thermals has come down quite dramatically over the last decade or so. The high performance fabrics were often not produced in large numbers and so the limited supply pushed prices up. These days however, with more people going on winter holidays or wearing thermals in the colder months at home, thermal tops are a lot more affordable.
The idea of a thermal top is essentially to provide a second skin. The material has a tight weave and so traps air in-between the fabric and the body, which in turn heats up, and thus insulates the body. They are designed to be worn as an under layer and are normally very lightweight and flexible. This generation of ladies thermals also incorporates stretchable fabrics, which move with the body and prevent and warm pockets of air from escaping. Some of the better tops even have wicking qualities, which draw moisture out and away from the body, keeping you dry and warm even when you are exerting yourself.
You don’t have to settle for boring designs any more either, with lots of colour and cool styles being produced by almost all of the brands.
