Ladies Trousers & Jeans

Just because ladies wear skirts and ladies shorts more often than men, that’s not to say they can’t wear all sorts of trousers as well. Indeed, in the colder months trousers are a great way of protecting women’s legs from the elements, especially if they don’t like wearing tights or stockings.

Trousers are one of the few areas in fashion were men have more choice than women. But let’s face it; women have better legs than men don’t they? Having said this, as gender boundaries become increasingly blurred, there seems to be more choice on the market from ladies trousers and jeans. Items such as cargo pants, which were once seen as very masculine and not the kind of thing that women should wear, are now very popular with the fairer sex and fit in well with the “military” style that is very much in vogue. Ladies choice of jeans is also diversifying, with low cut, twisted and skinny jean styles being added to the classics such as straight leg and hipster.

Ladies trousers don’t have to be winter attire though; there are plenty of choices for summer fashion. Light fabrics such as linen keep the legs cool, whilst also protecting against the sun, so you can stay out in it for longer without doing yourself any damage.
