Men’s belts have been holding up men’s trousers and men’s shorts ever since the first pair fell down at an inconvenient time. Traditional belts were always made out of leather and came in a stunning range of colours – brown or black. Then, after some belt-wearers got bored of these two colours and decided that belts could be a fashion item as well as a practical utility, there began an explosion of different designs and materials. Belts were no longer something that prevent others from seeing your underwear and instead become a statement of your style and another opportunity to show off branding.

These days you can find all sorts of wacky belt designs, including studded belts, reversible belts and even belts that you can open your beer bottle on. You’re not limited to leather any more either. You can choose rubber belts, PVC belts and even belts made out of webbing that uses a clasp buckle system that allows for adjustable tightening.
