Who knew there were so many ways to cover your head? From beanies and tank driver hats that keep your head warm in the winter, to caps and trilby hats that keep the sun out of your eyes and stop your head getting burnt in summer. We tend to prefer the summer variety here at Extreme Sports Trader, but then that’s because we like the sun a whole lot more than the cold.

Hats are one of those accessories that brands use to get their name out there and get you interested in their other wares. This means that pretty much every design you see on a surf clothing t-shirt or on a surf designer bag, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a variation on a cap or beanie somewhere. This might be a bold and shouty design that incorporates more colours than you new existed, or it might be a tiny logo hidden in an out-of-sight place. Most brands these days like to go prominent though, so you know exactly who made it and how cool the wearer is.
