To be honest we are not big vest wearers here in the UK. It’s not because we can’t pull them off, but more often because we simply no don’t get the weather to make sleeveless attire enjoyable. In Australia however (where they call them “singlets”), they get ample sun and can don vests pretty much all year round. This makes us envious and causes us to buy vests anyway and try to wear them whenever we can. This is especially true of men who have been blessed with “guns” (big biceps) who are often immensely proud of their limbs and want the world to know they are stronger than you are.

Thankfully the surf clothing brands out there don’t let us down when it comes to designs and often give us loads of cool choices to pick from. You can go for the classic low neck designs or stick to an armless t-shirt look that gives more coverage of the shoulders.
