Surfboard Bags

If you’ve spent a lot of money and invested in a great surfboard, the last thing you’re going to want to do is risk damaging it. You’d be amazed just how common it is for surfboards to become damaged simply when moving them about or even when storing them. Fibreglass surfboards have a tendency to “ding” very easily when pressure is put on them, but they can also split, crack or become punctured pretty easily too.

The solution of course is to buy a surfboard bag to keep your board or boards in at all times when they are not in use. These bags are often well padded to protect against knocks and are made from tough materials that prevent the board from being scraped or damaged by sharp objects. Another benefit of the surfboard bag is that it protects your boards against sun damage, which is common when transporting bare boards on the roof of a car for example.

One of the biggest benefits of getting a good surfboard bag however is how much easier it makes carrying the board. If you’ve ever tried to carry a large surfboard you’ll know that it can be quite an effort and your arm starts to hurt before too long. Surfboard bags normally come with strong handles and a shoulder strap that mean carrying your board around on the beach or back to the car doesn’t have to be a big head (and arm) ache.
