British Artificial Snowboard and Freeski Championships Kick Off

The summer here may be drawing to close, but it seems some are a little keener to hit the slopes than others and have been riding their hearts out at the opening round of the British Artificial Snowboard and Freeski Championships in Kent. The first event took place last weekend and saw some great action and tight races, which is all the more exciting (in a sadistic way) due to the fact falling over on the fake stuff is a lot more painful planting into real snow (as anyone who has experienced both will testify to!)
The weekend included the Snowboard Big Air Event, Freeski Slopestyle and a nail biting Snowboardcross event. This was then followed up on the Sunday with the Skiercross, Snowboard Slopestyle and Freeski Big Air. And if none of these terms means anything to you, basically lots of crazy people went very fast down a fake snow slope and some of them jumped pretty high on occasions.
