AEGIR QUANTUM 280.
This board originally cost over £1000. It is one of the lightest boards I have ever sailed and comes in about 6kg. Making it an amazing little board.
I would say the shape is wave slalom, but the review below testifies to how flexible it is. It does pretty much anything and is blisteringly fast.
The board is in great condition, no holes, dings etc and comes with a board 'sock' and footstrap/fin. It used a revolutionary carbon hollow technology similar to aircraft wings.
I have moved back to surfing so have sold all my other kit. Please ask any questions.
The designs were by Tad Ciastula of the Vitamin Sea custom brand, who drew heavily on the experience and advice of our test team for how the boards should be shaped.
Design: The Aegir features space age construction and is incredibly light. It’s about 3 kilos less than anything else in the test. This has a huge impact on it’s performance on the water.
We said then: Surely one of the most versatile boards ever.
We think now: In use the overwhelming thing you feel is how nice to sail a light board. It makes a huge, massive difference to almost every aspect of performance. The early planing is lightning.
