Medium 2007 Scott Scale 40 alloy frame with smooth welded headtube. Bike has been upgraded from original spec with Reba SL, XT hollowtech 2 crankset, FSA oversize carbon bars and OS115 stem, Litespeed carbon seatpost, Mavic XM819 tubeless-compatible rims on Shimano XT splined hubs with XTR rotors. Drivetrain is XT rear mech, cassette, XTR chain, LX front mech and two-way release 9 speed shifters and brake levers. Brakes are Deore with sintered pads. Saddle is WTB laser race. Altogether a stunning bike to ride and look at, and extremely light.
I'm moving house and trying to pare down my collection of bikes so it was a toss up between this and my Stumpjumper Pro. The full suss won for the sake of my old bones. I've basically done around 25-30 light miles on this since I built it and it's in as-new condition all-round. The crankset has just been fitted and is brand-new. Anyone who's after spending 7-800 on a new bike should really consider this as the spec is that of a bike nearly twice the price. Collection is preferred for obvious reasons. I can post but this will be around £40 with extra insurance included. £800 ONO.
